At J&M Removals Ltd we try to reduce the stress of the relocation experience of our customers.
Payment for services – Deposit required on acceptance of our quote with balance payable please, no later than 7 days before move date – unless agreed otherwise.
Payment is by BACS transfer please. Other methods may be available, please just ask your J&M representative.
Any furniture disassembled and reassembled by J&M personnel will be done with the utmost care, however J&M House Removals and its staff can not be held responsible any subsequent integrity issues that may arise. Whilst every care will be taken to restore it to its original condition this can not be guaranteed,
J&M do not disconnect or re connect kitchen or electrical appliances and devices.
J&M do not carry any gas cylinders, flammable liquids, toxic substances including chemicals and paints in their vehicles
Cancellation policy –
Cancellation prior to 3 days before move 100% refund. Prior to 2 days 50% there after no refund can be given.
Insurance –
J&M offer free of charge for your protection, a comprehensive insurance package for your goods and belongings whilst in our possession and in transit. Any claim for damage to goods needs to be submitted as soon as possible but no later than 5 days of the completed move date.
It is agreed that any unresolved disputes will be settled by arbitration within the UK legal system.
On the day of the move –
The customer or representative needs to be available on the day of the move. Before leaving the emptied property the customer will be invited to confirm that all items have been taken. At the relocation property, again the customer or their representative will be invited to sign off the successful transfer. In the unlikely event of any damage howsoever caused this will be brought to the attention of the customer or their representative.
Our quoted price is based upon an inventory compiled by us but against information supplied by you. Whilst we are happy to include other items dependent on size & volume, we reserve the right to charge for extra items or services, particularly where additional costs are incurred by us.
If on arrival at customers address there is unexpected delay with packing or clearing the property, J&M reserve to right to charge the following –
Up to £100 per hour to assist in packing up when this wasn’t a requirement.
Delays obtaining the keys of new property.
If on the move day there is a delay in obtaining the keys which is out of the control of J&M Removals, we reserve the right to charge the following –
First hour of waiting is free, thereafter £25 per hour, per person.
If any such additional fees have be charged, these will be invoiced and payment required within 7 days of the invoice date. After this time we reserve the right to charge interest at 15% on such costs until paid in full. Rest assured that every attempt will be made to avoid such costs being incurred.
